PERSONAL BIO

Being the son of an architect and an artist, I have always had a passion for design. This manifested in different ways throughout my life. I was drawn toward fine arts, graphic design, and architecture at different points in my life. When it was time to choose a career path I landed on architecture because it combines my love of art and design with intense problem solving. As Buckminster Fuller put it, “When I am working on a problem, I never think about beauty but when I have finished, if the solution is not beautiful, I know it is wrong.” This has become one of my favorite quotes regarding architecture and is one I try to implement in any design I do.

Outside of architecture, I am a husband to my beautiful wife who I’ve been with for over 12 years. Along the way we have built a family of our two cats, our first child; Snoopy (canine) and we recently welcomed our first human child to the world, Reya Piper. I also am an avid Buffalo Bills fan and fantasy football player which takes up most of the small amount of free time I have.
